The remains of one of the canoes the Lowry gang used in the swamps. When one of the Lowry's floated Owen down the river to escape militia, Owen wrote: "That night there might have been seen moving upon the dark and murky waters of the Lumber River a canoe containing an Indian and a sick soldier, for such he was."
